Katharina Salewski and Kai Eckert took part in this year’s Klausurtagung of the Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence (IAAI) at Stuttgart Media University. The yearly retreat took place in Huzenbach in the Black Forest.
The talks and discussions covered a wide range of topics, among them:
- long-term maintenance of knowledge graphs,
- recent advancements in local AI deployment,
- privacy-focused AI applications,
- IT forensics,
- and explainable and interpretable AI.
The ties to the institute are close: Katharina’s doctoral work is jointly supervised by Johannes Maucher (Stuttgart Media University) and Kai, and Kai was one of the founding members of the IAAI in 2019. It is a pleasure to stay connected with the institute and its members after the move to Mannheim. We thank the IAAI for the invitation!
