Upcoming lectures: Knowledge Graphs and Game Engineering
In the upcoming summer term, we will teach two elective courses: Knowledge Graphs (new!) and Game Engineering (now with 3D!).
On January 31, 2026, TH Mannheim co-hosted the First LEGO® League Regional Contest together with John Deere . For TH Mannheim, this marked the 18th time the university has organized this inspiring robotics and research competition.
A total of 13 teams, made up of students aged 9 to 16 from schools across the region, took part in the event. The young participants competed in several disciplines, including research presentations, robot design, and the well-known Robot Game, in which a self-built robot must complete a wide range of challenging tasks within a limited time.
This year, Kai Eckert served as a member of the Robot Design jury, contributing his expertise to the evaluation of the teams’ technical concepts and solutions.
Congratulations to all participating teams—and thank you to everyone involved for an amazing and inspiring day!
